The Black Cat Agency is a children’s book agency based in the UK. We represent publishers from various countries, including Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Colombia, and sell their rights worldwide. We also act as co-agents for the Turkish market, selecting the best titles from around the world.

We established our agency at the beginning of 2020, and in just four years we have sold rights in more than 30 different languages. Every year, we publish two catalogues: a spring catalogue just before the Bologna Book Fair and an autumn catalogue before the Frankfurt Book Fair. We choose to represent books we love, with great writing, fascinating subjects and gorgeous illustrations. We try to keep our list as diverse as possible, with books on a wide range of subjects with varying illustration styles. Along with picture books and early readers, we also represent middle grade titles. For all the books we represent, we have high-quality full English translations available. We enjoy bringing the books we love to different corners of the world.

Every year, we travel to the Bologna, London and Frankfurt book fairs. We also attend the Guadalajara Book Fair and the Sharjah Publishers Conference. On top of that, we attend fellowship programs and make business trips to cities across the globe.
